The label on the back states 16%..

Pours deep, dark amber with a tan head.

Aroma is full of hops, caramel, resin and pines.

Hops, caramel, dark fruits, syrup, resin and bread in the flavor.

Feels a bit oily. The high abv is only slightly noticeable in the after taste.

Southern Tier Cuvée Series 2 650ml, 11% - USA

Pours deep, blurry amber with no head.

Malts, caramel, vanilla, nuts and oak in the aroma.

Caramelized malts, syrup, vanilla and booze in the flavor.

Southern Tier Cuvée Series 1 650ml, 11% - USA

Pours murky copper with a thin head.

Dark fruits, caramelized malts, brown sugar, coconut, syrup and boozy notes towards the end. A rather ok aroma.

Caramelized malts up front, coconut, raisins, syrup and booze in the flavor.

Quite warming!

Firestone 13 - Anniversary Ale 650ml, 12% - USA

Pours deep brown, almost black with no head.

Roasted malts, oak, smoke, tar, dark fruits, vanilla and booze in the aroma.

Toffee up front, dark chocolate, syrup.. Quite sweet! Vanilla, hints of roasted malts, oak and some booze in the flavor.

Quite ok, but I don't see where all the hype comes from. Sorry, but this is a bit overrated imho!

Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale 355ml, 7.2% - USA

Pours deep red with a creamy head.

Malts, hops, caramel, dark fruits and brown sugar in the aroma.

Hoppy flavor. Malts, oak, caramel, dark fruits and tiny hints of alcohol.

Arrogant Bastard Ale 650ml, 7.2% - USA

Pours deep red/brown with a creamy head.

Caramelized malts up front. Sweet aroma, nuts and hints of dark fruits.

Heavy on malts. Bitter hops, caramel and dark fruits in the flavor.

Samuel Adams Utopias 720ml, 27% - USA

Turned 25 yesterday, a good occasion to finally try this "beer".

Poured into original Utopias glass. Deep red appearance, no carbonation. Port wine resemblance.

Lot's of cherries and dark fruits up front, followed by caramel and boozy. Very sweet aroma.

The flavor reflects the aroma. It's quite sweet as well. Dark fruits with caramel and cherries. Boozy after taste, which keeps you warm inside.

This does remind me a lot of your typical port wine.

Mikkeller Festival Special Edition 2009 – Stella 0 1500ml, 10% - Denmark

Bottle # 587/1300.

Poured into an original Mikkeller Festival glass. Lovely red color with a tuff, thick, rocky, tan head. Lot's of sticky lacing.

Sweet malty aroma, hoppy. Brown sugar and dark fruits.

Huge amount of hops. Caramel, pines.. Amazing taste!

Bashah 330ml, 8.6% - Scotland

Pours pitch black with a thick, tan head.

Citrus, grass and hoppy aroma. A bit malty.

Quite an interesting taste. Roasted malts up front. Followed by citrus, caramel and hops. Very little smokyness in the background.

Not bad at all!

Double Bastard Ale 650ml, 10.5% - USA

Reddish color with a tan creamy, thick head.

Sweet and hoppy aroma. Lot's of malts and caramel.

Smooth taste! Malty and quite fruity. I get some cherries and dried fruits. A bit hoppy with some flavor of fresh bread. Caramel is present and so is the mild booziness.

Slightly dry mouth feel, very creamy. Lovely beer..!

Old Viscosity 650ml, 10% - USA

Dark color with a chocolate head.

Very rich aroma which consists of roasted malts, chocolate and vanilla.

Wonderful taste. Starts off with roasted malts, which quickly turns into a light licorice flavor, some salt on top of that. I do get some woodiness in between. Chocolate and bitter aftertaste.

Tactical Nuclear Penguin 330ml, 32% - Scotland

It was finally time to try one of the world's strongest beers. This bottles has been laying around for well over a month now.. So,

Poured dark red, no head. Very still.

Very boozy nose, but I do get some dried fruits and some caramel.

Starts off with this salty and strong alcohol taste. Then turns over to a very smoked tone with a bit of caramel. Lot's of tar.

Interesting experiment from BrewDog. Let's see what they will come up with next.

This bottle is going to be available in Systembolaget on Monday, 15th of February.

P.S. Looks like the guys over at BrewDog were in a hurry with putting the labels on..! ;)

The Angel's Share Brandy Barrel-Aged 375ml, 12% - USA

Very dark brown with no head at all. Feels like I poured something very strong into the glass.

Sour and soak smell with a bourbon aroma.

This tastes like red wine. I don't think that I have tasted anything like this before. It has hints of dark fruits and citrus, together with some cherries.

I guess I'll pass next time.

Stone 13th Anniversary Ale 650ml, 9.5% - USA

Very dark red color with a dark thick head.

Hoppy aroma, lot's of citrus.

Fruity taste, I definitely get some apples. There's citrus somewhere there as well. Spice with a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Some cold, strong tea flavor.
